Privacy Policy
Your Data.
Handled Properly.
This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we protect it, and what rights you have over it. It's written in plain language — because transparency isn't a legal checkbox, it's how we operate.

Section 03
How We Use Your Data.
Every use of your data has a lawful basis under GDPR — a contract, a legal obligation, your consent, or our legitimate interest. Here's what we use it for, and why we're allowed to.
To Perform Our Contract
Processing that's necessary to deliver the service you've asked for — registering your account, letting you bid, processing payments, and delivering machines.
- Creating and managing your account
- Processing bids and auction activity
- Processing payments and issuing invoices

Processing we're required to do under EU and national law — anti-money-laundering checks, tax records, and accounting obligations.
- Identity verification (AML compliance)
- Tax and VAT reporting
- Accounting and invoice retention
- Responding to lawful authority requests
- Fraud prevention and detection
To Run & Improve the Platform
Processing that supports our legitimate business interests — keeping the platform secure, improving how it works, and preventing abuse.

- Any future use clearly stated at opt-in
Section 04
Who We Share Data With.
We share data only with the parties needed to run the marketplace — never sold, never given to advertisers. Every recipient is bound by contract to protect your data.
Payment Providers
To process card payments and bank transfers, we share payment data with PCI-compliant providers. We never see or store your full card details.
Logistics Partners
To deliver machines to your yard, we share your name, delivery address, and phone number with our transport partners.
IT & Hosting
Our website, auction platform, and email are hosted on EU-based servers operated by contracted providers under data-processing agreements.
Legal & Regulatory
Where required by law, we may share data with tax authorities, law enforcement, or courts — always limited to what's legally required.
Professional Advisors
Our accountants, auditors, and legal advisors may access your data strictly where needed for compliance and professional advice.
What We Never Do
Some things we simply don't do — not with your data, not with anyone's.
Section 05
International Data Transfers.
We keep your data inside the EEA wherever possible. Where a transfer outside the EEA is unavoidable, we make sure the recipient is bound by one of the EU-approved safeguards below.
Where Data Is Stored
Our website, auction platform, and email infrastructure are hosted on servers located within the European Economic Area (EEA). Your data does not leave the EEA unless required for a specific purpose below.
When Transfers Happen
Transfers outside the EEA can occur in two cases — and only in these two cases:
- Some service providers (e.g. cloud backup) may process data outside the EEA
- Non-EU delivery or legal requirements may involve the recipient's jurisdiction
Approved Safeguards
Where data is transferred outside the EEA, we rely on one of the GDPR-approved mechanisms:
- EU Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) — the default safeguard
- Adequacy decisions — for countries the EU has declared adequate
- Explicit consent — where you've specifically agreed to a transfer
Your Rights Over Transfers
You have the right to ask us about any transfer of your data outside the EEA — including what safeguard applies.
- Request a copy of the safeguard we rely on
- Object to a transfer based on legitimate interest
- Withdraw consent where consent was the basis
Section 06
How Long We Keep Data.
We keep your personal data only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected — or as required by law. After that, it's deleted or anonymised. Here's how long each category is retained.
No Longer Than Needed
Retention periods are the minimum required for the purpose — not arbitrary. If we can delete data sooner without breaking the law or leaving you exposed, we do.
Secure Deletion
When data reaches the end of its retention period, we delete it or irreversibly anonymise it. No dormant copies linger in backups beyond their own retention cycle.
Legal Holds
If data is needed for an active legal claim, dispute, or regulatory investigation, we may retain it beyond the standard period — only for as long as the matter is unresolved.
Your Right to Erasure
You can request deletion of your data at any time. Where no legal obligation prevents it, we'll erase your account and personal data within 30 days — see the next section for full rights.
Section 07
Your Rights.
Under GDPR, you have eight specific rights over your personal data. All of them are free to exercise, and we respond to every request within 30 days — usually much faster.
Right of Access
You can ask what personal data we hold about you, why we hold it, and who we share it with. We'll send a copy in a portable format within 30 days.
Right to Rectification
If any data we hold is inaccurate or incomplete, you can ask us to correct it. We'll update your records and confirm within 30 days.
Right to Erasure
Also known as the "right to be forgotten." You can request deletion of your personal data — subject to legal obligations (e.g. tax records) that require us to keep it.
Right to Restrict Processing
You can ask us to pause processing your data — for example while a dispute is being resolved, or if you believe the data is inaccurate. We'll keep it stored but stop using it.
Right to Data Portability
You can request a copy of your data in a structured, machine-readable format (e.g. CSV or JSON) — useful if you want to transfer it to another service.
Right to Object
You can object to processing based on legitimate interest or direct marketing — including profiling for marketing purposes. We'll stop unless we can demonstrate compelling reasons to continue.
Rights on Automated Decisions
You have the right not to be subject to a decision made solely by automated means — including profiling — that produces legal or similarly significant effects. We don't use such decisions for bidding or approval.
Right to Withdraw Consent
Where processing is based on your consent — like marketing emails — you can withdraw it at any time. Withdrawal doesn't affect the lawfulness of processing that already took place.
Section 08
Cookies & Tracking.
Cookies help the site work and tell us what's useful. We only use non-essential cookies if you've opted in — and you can change your choice at any time.
Strictly Necessary
These cookies are essential for the site to work — logging in, keeping your session active, processing payments, and remembering your cookie consent. They can't be switched off.
Performance & Analytics
These help us understand how the site is used — which pages are visited, where users drop off, and what's working. Data is anonymised and aggregated before analysis.
Functionality
These remember your preferences — language, region, currency, and saved listings — so you don't have to re-set them each visit.
Marketing & Targeting
These track your activity across sites to show relevant ads. We don't currently run marketing cookies — but if we ever do, they'll be strictly opt-in.
Section 09
