Cookie Policy
Small Files.
Clear Rules.
Cookies help the site work, remember your preferences, and tell us what's useful. This policy explains what we set, why we set it, and how you can control it — in plain language, no legalese.

Section 01
What Are Cookies?
A short, plain-English explanation — no jargon, no legalese. If you already know what cookies are, skip ahead to the categories section.
What They Are
Cookies are small text files that a website saves on your device — computer, tablet, or phone. They let the site remember things between visits, like whether you're logged in or which language you prefer.
They don't run programs, they don't carry viruses, and they can't access other files on your device.
Why We Use Them
Cookies help us keep you logged in, remember your preferences, process payments, and understand which parts of the site are useful. Without them, the auction platform couldn't function properly.
They also let us detect suspicious activity — a security benefit that protects both you and us.
First-Party Cookies
Set directly by Bringelands Maskinhandel AB when you visit our site. These are the cookies we control and are responsible for.
They handle the core of what the site does — keeping you logged in, securing your session, and remembering your cookie choices.
Third-Party Cookies
Set by external services we rely on — payment processors, analytics providers, and infrastructure partners. They help us process payments and understand how the site is used.
Third-party cookies are controlled by their providers, not by us. Full detail is in Section 05 below.
Other Technologies
Besides cookies, we use similar technologies — local storage, session storage, and pixels (tiny invisible images). They do the same kinds of jobs.
When this policy says "cookies," it covers these related technologies too.
Session vs Persistent
Session cookies are deleted automatically when you close your browser — they exist only for the duration of your visit.
Persistent cookies stay on your device for a set period — from a day to a year — so the site can remember your choices between visits.
Section 02
Cookie Categories.
Every cookie we set falls into one of four categories — defined by the ePrivacy Directive and GDPR. Only strictly necessary cookies are set without consent.
Strictly Necessary
Essential for the site to work. Without them, you can't log in, bid, or complete a transaction. These cookies don't require your consent — they're allowed under the ePrivacy Directive.
- Session management — keeps you logged in
- Security — protects against fraud and CSRF attacks
- Cookie consent — remembers your choices
- Load balancing — routes traffic efficiently
Performance & Analytics
Tell us how the site is used — which pages are visited, where users drop off, and what could be improved. All data is anonymised and aggregated before we see it.
- Page views — which pages are popular
- Traffic sources — how visitors find us
- Time on page — where users spend time
- Error tracking — what breaks and why
Functionality
Remember your preferences so you don't have to re-set them every visit. Turning these off won't break the site — you'll just lose the personal touches.
- Language & region — your preferred settings
- Saved listings — machines you've watchlisted
- Recently viewed — your browsing history on-site
- Form autofill — saved delivery addresses
Marketing & Targeting
Track your activity across sites to show relevant ads. We don't currently use marketing cookies — but if we ever do, they'll be strictly opt-in.
- Currently not in use — no ad networks active
- Opt-in only — never set by default
- Withdrawable — turn off any time
- Not shared — with data brokers or advertisers
Section 03
Cookie Inventory.
The specific cookies set on this site — name, purpose, duration, and who provides them. This list is updated whenever we add or remove a cookie.
Section 04
Managing Your Cookies.
You're in control. Change your preferences any time using one of the three methods below — through our site, your browser, or directly with us.
Cookie Banner
The fastest way to change your preferences — no browser digging, no email. The consent banner is always accessible from the footer link "Cookie settings".
- Toggle each category on or off
- See exactly which cookies you're approving
- Changes apply immediately
- Preferences stored for 12 months
Browser Settings
Every major browser lets you block, delete, or restrict cookies. Use the settings menu — usually under Privacy & Security.
- Block all cookies or just third-party
- Delete existing cookies on demand
- Set per-site exceptions
- Enable "Do Not Track" signals
Contact Us
If the banner isn't working, or you want us to remove your consent records manually, get in touch — we'll handle it within 30 days.
- Manual consent removal
- Copy of your consent history
- Report a cookie not on our list
- Ask about a specific cookie
Under GDPR, withdrawing consent must be as easy as giving it. Our cookie banner lets you change preferences at any time with two clicks — no forms, no waiting periods, no impact on your ability to bid or use the site.
Section 05
Third-Party Cookies.
Some cookies are set by external services we rely on — payment processors, analytics providers, hosting partners. We don't control them, but we choose them carefully and list them all here.
Payment Providers
Processed via PCI-compliant payment gateways. These providers set their own cookies when you enter payment details — used for fraud detection, transaction processing, and 3D Secure authentication.
- Stripe — card payment processing
- Klarna — buy-now-pay-later options
- Bank transfer gateways — where applicable
Analytics Providers
Help us understand how the site is used — anonymously and in aggregate. Analytics cookies are optional and only set if you've opted in via the consent banner.
- Google Analytics 4 — traffic and behaviour
- Server logs — anonymous request tracking
- Performance monitoring — page speed & errors
Hosting & Infrastructure
Our hosting partners and content delivery networks set essential cookies to keep the site fast, secure, and available — including load balancing and DDoS protection.
- Web host — session and security cookies
- CDN — content delivery and load balancing
- Security tools — bot and DDoS protection
Functional Plugins
Third-party features we've integrated to improve the experience — most are optional and only activate when you consent, or when you interact with the feature directly.
- Language plugin — multilingual support
- Map provider — location display where used
- Live chat / support — when active on a page
Section 06
Updates to This Policy.
Cookie practices change as the site evolves — new features, new providers, new regulations. When this policy changes, we tell you. Here's how.
When We Update
We review this policy at least once a year, and update it whenever there's a material change — a new cookie, a new provider, or a change in how we use existing ones.
- Adding or removing a cookie
- Changing a cookie's purpose or duration
- Introducing a new third-party provider
- Regulatory changes affecting cookies
How We Notify You
For material changes, we don't rely on you noticing a small "last updated" date. We'll actively tell you — through the channels you already use.
- Banner prompt on your next visit
- Email to registered account holders
- Updated "last updated" date on this page
- Updated cookie inventory above
Your Consent, Still Yours
A policy change doesn't silently renew your consent. If new cookies require consent, you'll be asked again — your previous choices aren't extended to cover new purposes.
- Existing consent remains valid for existing cookies
- New cookies require fresh consent
- You can withdraw at any time — no penalty
- Every preference change is logged
